Jeff Hailes

Jeff Hailes - our Cumberland Council candidate for Egremont - continues to work hard in his role as Copeland Borough Councillor for St Bees.

Councillor Hailes met with Network Rail staff this weekend to discuss safety arrangements at St Bees Station, with particular reference to the Friday evening train which is traditionally busy with pub-goers travelling into Whitehaven.

Councillor Hailes said: "It was great to talk to the staff and had a discussion with Network Rail's Operations Manager.

"It's good to report that no recent incidents have been reported at the station, especially on Friday nights when there has been various issues in the past.
